The Sixers didn’t play any defense last night as the Magic shot 59.8% from the floor and that was the biggest reason for the loss. The 76ers showed a lot of heart last night before falling a bucket short against the playoff bound Miami Heat. The Sixers shot 54.7% from the floor last night as they got a couple of players out of mothballs who produced. Jason Kapono got the start at small forward and he responded by leading the way for the Sixers with 24 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Kapono shot 10 of 12 from the floor and 4 of 5 from three point range. Maybe the Sixers should have played him more this season. Jodie Meeks was electric off the bench as he finished up with 21 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in only 24 minutes last night. Elton Brand pitched in with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists last night. The 76ers are now 27-54 on the season.

The Sixers got outrebounded 47-32 last night and they didn’t play any D as the Hawks shot 50% so the scoreboard shouldn’t shock anyone. Lou Williams led the way for the Sixers last night with 30 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Willie Green had a solid game of the bench with 17 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists last night. Andre Iguodala pitched in with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists last night for the Sixers. Samuel Dalembert was the only player who really brought his A-game near the basket for the Sixers last night as he finished up with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. The 76ers are now 22-38 on the year.
