Blogged under Front Page by Nothing but Net on Wednesday 29 November 2006 at 2:37 am

The Sixers didn’t shoot well (37.1%) or defend well (58.7%) and that’s a recipe for defeat.

The A.I.’s came to play, but the rest of the team was nowhere to be found. Allen Iverson was amazing with 45 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. Andre Iguodala added 15 points and 9 rebounds.

The Sixers fell to 5-9 on the season with this loss.

Samuel Dalembert is ruling the paint

Blogged under Front Page,Steppin Up by Nothing but Net on Thursday 16 November 2006 at 2:54 pm

Samuel Dalembert has really been playing super since Mo Cheeks yanked him from a game for not being physical enough under the boards. Dalembert has been awesome defending the paint and he’s been rebounding well. He has averaged 10.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 2.6 blocks per game this season. Most of his offense comes from putbacks, as their are not many plays drawn up for him. That explains his 63% shooting from the floor.

Dalembert is very important to the success of the Sixers, so Coach Cheeks will have to keep on his back.

Centers

Blogged under Front Page by Nothing but Net on Monday 13 November 2006 at 6:40 pm

Samuel Dalembert is a good center for this team, because he doesn’t need the ball to succeed. Dalembert’s game is defense and rebounding, and he’s good at that. Dalembert has averaged 7.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game over his NBA career.

Steven Hunter will be the back-up and he’s similar to Dalembert, but he’s not as good. Hunter has averaged 4.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game over his career.
